Over the past week, Cruise Hive has announced the results of this year’s Cruise Ship Awards. We have now arrived at the last category and we’ve saved the best till last! Which Cruise Ship Burger Venue is the best?

According to Cruise Hive readers Guy’s Burger Joint was voted as the best at sea. Guy’s Burger Joint received more votes than any other venue in the category. In a faraway second was Johny Rockets, which can be found on Royal Caribbean ships.

Joint third were two different venues from Norwegian Cruise Line, they were Margaritaville At Sea and O’Sheehans Bar & Grill. The Dive In Terrace on Holland America Line ships finished the Best burger Venue category in fourth. Celebrity Cruises Bistro On Five was fifth and finally in last place was The Salty Dog Gastro Pub on Princess Cruises.

Guy’s Burger Joint has been a huge success throughout the Carnival Cruise Line fleet. The award-winning venue by Food Network’s Guy Fieri has become one of the biggest highlights onboard. The burger venue where guests can choose their own add-on and toppings was first introduced in 2011. Carnival Liberty was the very first ship in the fleet to get the new FUN 2.0 upgrades which included Guys Burger Joint.

The “Best Burger Venue At Sea” category was by far the most popular with more votes than any other. The 2016 Cruise Ship Awards first started in September 2016 where unlike other online awards, two categories were added each month. Readers were only able to vote once in each category and any double votes were not counted.

SkyRide on Carnival Vista has been voted the “Best Cruise Ship Feature” in the 2016 Cruise Ship Awards by Cruise Hive readers.

The first ever SkyRide at Sea, which is only featured on the Carnival Vista, has come out on top with the most amount of votes. Second place in the “Best Cruise Ship Feature” category was the North Star, a capsule that elevates above the ship, offering outstanding ocean views. The North Star is featured on the Quantum class ships by Royal Caribbean.

In third place was the Seawalk. This glass walk, which extends out from the side of the ship, is on the Royal class ships operated by Princess Cruises. The Plank on the Norwegian Cruise Line Breakaway class ships came in fourth place. Harmony of the Seas Ultimate Abyss 10-Story slide surprisingly came in last place, this is the very first slide of its kind at sea.

The category was among the first to be posted in this year’s Cruise Ship Awards. Unlike other online awards, new categories were added each month from September 2016 and readers were only ale to vote once in each category. Any double votes were not included int eh final result. We received thousands of votes and made it fair by not including two ships from the same cruise line in the category.

Carnival Vista is the latest ship from Carnival and arrived into the fleet in May 2016. The SkyRide offers guests a pedal ride along an 800-foot suspended track, and the new feature is perfect for guests wanting to enjoy stunning views or race each other. The SkyRide is 150 feet above sea level and located on the ship’s open deck near the SkyCourse.

The Carnival ship is 133,500 gross tons and can carry over 3,900 passengers at double occupancy. the vessel is currently based out of Port Miami, Florida.

Carnival Splendor has come out with the most amount of votes in the “Best Miami-Based Cruise Ship” category in this year’s Cruise Ship Awards by Cruise Hive readers.

The Carnival ship won the category, which also included four other ships; we chose one ship from each major cruise line to make it equal. In close second place came the Celebrity Reflection, operated by Celebrity Cruises, and in third was Royal Caribbeans Empress of the Seas. The fourth was the Norwegian Sky, and surprisingly, in the last place was the MSC Divina, which is part of the MSC Cruises fleet.

Carnival Splendor is in a class of its own with no other like it in the fleet. The 113,300 gross ton vessel sails Eastern and Western Caribbean cruises out of Port Miami but sadly the ship won’t stay in the Carnival fleet. Just recently the cruise line announced the ship will be transferred to P&O Australia in late 2019 so cruisers should make the most of the ship before then. Carnival Splendor can carry over 3,000 guests at double occupancy along with over 1,100 crew members.

The Cruise Ship Awards are different from most in the industry where new categories were added each month. Since September 2016 Cruise Hive readers have been able to vote only once in each category, any double votes were not counted.
