Most people cruising from Port Everglades arrive by car and need parking at Port Everglades for the duration of their cruise. Don’t worry – there are many options for finding cheap parking near Port Everglades with a shuttle service to the port.

Some Fort Lauderdale hotels also offer great deals for Stay and Cruise packages, often with free cruise parking and a courtesy shuttle to the port.

1. Driving to Port Everglades

If you are driving to Port Everglades from north/central Florida, or from out of state, the best route is via the I-95 which runs down the east coast of Florida. The port is just south of Fort Lauderdale and north of Dania Beach.

2. SunPass Toll Info

You can also opt for the Florida Turnpike which is a faster and quieter option with regular tolls. It runs from Ocala in North Central Florida through Orlando to Miami. If you don’t have a Sunpass transponder, you will need to stop and pay the tolls by cash or credit card at toll plazas. Most car rentals in Florida have their own Sunpass Pay-by-Plate so you can use the special non-stop lanes at each toll plaza on the Turnpike.

3. How Much Does Port Everglades Parking Cost?

Rates vary for Port Everglades parking depending mainly on the distance from the cruise port. Generally, you pay more for convenience. Many cruise parking shuttles are free for up to 4 passengers and their luggage. Extra passengers may be charged a fee each way for the transfer to and from Port Everglades.

4. Official Port Everglades Parking at the Port

The most convenient Port Everglades parking is onsite at the cruise port. These convenient parking lots are security patrolled and well-lit. There are two covered parking garages at Port Everglades: Northport and Midport, and there’s an uncovered parking lot at Midport Surface Lot.

All the official Port Everglades parking lots charge the same rate, starting at $15 per day for standard vehicles and $19 per day for oversized vehicles. You need to book ahead to be sure of securing a space.

5. Northport Parking Garage

Northport Parking Garage has 2,500 spaces and serves Port Everglades Cruise Terminals 1 and 2 as well as the Convention Center. When you enter the port, join Eisenhower Blvd and follow the signs.

6. Midport Parking Garage

Further south, Midport Parking Garage has 2,000 space and serves Cruise Terminals 19, 21, 22/24, 25, 26. 27 and 29. Access is from the I-595 East. The garage is on the left side of the street.

7. Midport Surface Lot

Terminal 18 has its own parking lot at Port Everglades with 600 spaces next to the terminal. There is also an overflow parking lot between terminals 18 and 19. It is used when other cruise parking lots are full. Access is from SE 19th St.

8. Free Port Everglades Parking for Disabled Passengers

Disabled cruisers will find the most convenient Port Everglades parking is at the port. The parking fee is waived for any disabled driver/vehicle that has one of the following:

  • Displaying a Florida Toll Exemption Permit as per FL Statute 316.1964
  • Modifications to accommodate specialized equipment including disability ramps, lifts, foot or hand controls
  • A Disabled Veteran license plate issued from any state government. The car must have the DV license plate on the car throughout the period of parking

For everyone else, onsite Port Everglades parking at the cruise terminal starts at $15 per day.

Best Off-Site Self-Parking (Not Valet)

9. Rodeway Inn & Suite Port Everglade Parking – 4.5 Miles

Located at 2240 SR-84 in Fort Lauderdale, the Rodeway Inn & Suites Port Everglades Parking is a little further from Port Everglades cruise terminals but it does offer drivers the chance to self-park rather than valet parking. Cruise parking is from $7.99 per day.

The motel offers Port Everglades parking for non-guests so you do not have to book a room, although it may be convenient to do so. The Rodeway Inn provides a complimentary shuttle bus to and from the port which usually takes 10-15 minutes.

Cheapest Off-Site Parking

10. Park by the Ports – 3 Miles from Port

Park by the Ports lots are inside Dania Beach Casino and are for cruise parking only. Drive to the northwest corner of the parking lot where your vehicle will be checked in and your luggage transferred to the shuttle. Check-in begins at 9.30am until 2.30pm. Prices are from $5.99 per day.

Make sure you have a receipt for your prebooked parking or have it available on your mobile. Leave your car keys with the attendant and display your booking receipt on the dashboard before departing for your Port Everglades cruise.

This parking service includes free shuttle transport to and from Port Everglades for up to 8 cruisers with $8 per person for additional passengers. This lot has the benefit of CCTV security cameras. On your return, pickups from the port start at 7 am and run continually.

11. Park ‘N’ Go – 1.2 miles

Park ‘n’ Go Port Everglades parking is at 1101 Eller Drive, a 7-minute hop by free shuttle bus to and from Port Everglades cruise terminals. On arrival at the parking lot, the shuttle driver will transfer your luggage to the shuttle bus for the one-mile transfer to Port Everglades cruise terminal.

The driver will also give you a yellow slip. Keep it safe during your cruise as it allows you to board the shuttle bus back to the parking lot and helps locate your vehicle on your return.

Prebooked cruise parking is from $7.99 per day but if you turn up without a prepaid reservation the price jumps to $13 per day – ouch!

12. Park 24/7 Cruise Parking 1.1 miles

Park 24/7 Port Everglades Parking is just 1.1 miles south of the port on S. Federal Hwy. It has video security surveillance for peace of mind on an uncovered lot and includes a complimentary air-conditioned shuttle to and from the port. Prices start at $9.99 per day. You can book your Port Everglades cruise parking online direct on their website then just turn up with your booking confirmation number

13. Gold Coast Cruise and Fly Parking – 1.2 miles

Gold Coast Cruise and Fly Parking for cruises start from $7.49 per day. On arrival at the parking lot on SW12th Street in Fort Lauderdale, valet attendants will check in your vehicle, help you unload your luggage and will then park your car for you on the uncovered lot. Air-conditioned shuttle buses run a continual service to Port Everglades cruise terminals and will drop you right next to your ship.

14. FLL Quick Park – 1.1 miles

FLL Quick Park offers low-cost cruise parking for Port Everglades from $7.99 although it has a poor rating from past customers. It is located at 2610 S. Federal Hwy just over one mile from the cruise terminal.

Like other cruise parking facilities, it has free shuttle transportation to the ship. Book ahead and provide your credit card and license number when you arrive to park. Your car will be valet parked on an uncovered lot and you will be given a ticket identifying number which you must show on your return.

15. FLL Park Safe –  3.7 miles

FLL Park Safe is a family-run business offering airport and cruise parking in Fort Lauderdale from $8.99. It has been rated #1 shuttle service in Fort Lauderdale. Situated on Old Griffin Road, it is slightly further from the cruise port but it is highly rated for its efficient and friendly service.

The company operates valet parking on an uncovered lot which has excellent video surveillance for security. The journey by complimentary shuttle bus is still only 8 minutes.

16. Fort Lauderdale Airport Parking – 2 miles

Fort Lauderdale Airport Parking is not actually at the airport and it offers parking for cruise painters as well as those using the airport.

Located at 3020 SE 6th Ave it is within easy reach of Port Everglades for parking and shuttle transport. Make an online reservation – prices start at $10 per day for cruise passengers and this includes free shuttle transport to and from Port Everglades.

17. Best Hotels with Cruise Parking and Shuttle

Many Fort Lauderdale hotels near Port Everglades include cruise parking free when you book an overnight stay. Staying a night before cruising is sensible to avoid any last-minute problems with interstate traffic, bad weather or delayed flights.

Alternatively, book a night or two after your cruise and extend your cruise vacation by enjoying the attractions and beaches around beautiful Fort Lauderdale before returning home.

Stay and Cruise packages can work out very cheap compared to just paying a daily rate for Port Everglades parking. Prices vary according to season and demand, so these are for comparative purposes only. These hotels also include a shuttle service to and from the port, so take your pick!

Just 1.3 miles from Port Everglades on SR-84, Crowne Plaza Fort Lauderdale is just a 5-minute shuttle ride from the cruise port. Enjoy a good night’s sleep in this modern air-conditioned hotel and take advantage of all the amenities including a workout room, pool, high-speed Internet, restaurant, bar and room service.

19. Holiday Inn Express from $145

Holiday Inn Express Fort Lauderdale is an easy 1.2 miles from Port Everglades at 1500 SE 17th St. It is within easy reach of Fort Lauderdale’s’ shops, restaurants, state parks and attractions, especially if you use the Water Taxi service. Breakfast is included in your room rate so you won’t be hungry before boarding your cruise. The 2 ½ star hotel has a business center and fitness suite but no pool.

20. Extended Stay America Fort Lauderdale from $133

Extended Stay America is centrally located on SE 17th St and 1.4 miles from Port Everglades cruise terminals. Park your car and relax. All rooms have a kitchenette and a Grab-and-Go breakfast is included in the price. Spend the night before catching the complimentary shuttle to Port Everglades for your Caribbean cruise. Your car will be parked safe and secure until your return with this Stay and Cruise deal.

21. Haven Hotel Fort Lauderdale from $95

Cheap and cheerful, the Haven Hotel Fort Lauderdale Airport is the best value for Stay and Cruise Port Everglades Parking. Located on 6th Ave, this 2-star hotel is 2.1 miles from the cruise terminal. Rooms are simple and modern with air-conditioning and refrigerator. As well as free parking, you get breakfast before your depart for the port on the cruise shuttle bus.

22. Renaissance Fort Lauderdale from $189

Renaissance Fort Lauderdale Cruise and Stay packages will definitely get you off to a comfortable start. Located in the heart of the 17th St waterfront district just 1.2 miles from Port Everglades, this four-star luxury hotel has a beautiful outdoor pool, fitness center with gym, lounge bar, and restaurant. Book a seat on the complimentary cruise shuttle and then relax by the pool with a long cool drink!
