26 Ideal Hotels Near Port of New Orleans

Here's the only list you'll need for ideal hotels near Port of New Orleans. Covering distance from the cruise terminal, shuttles services and prices.

If you’ll be visiting New Orleans for the first time before your cruise, you are in for a real treat. Mardis Gras, spicy food, history museums, and more are available at your fingertips no matter where you stay. The city has plenty to offer, and you won’t want to miss any of it.

It’s also highly recommended that when you go on a cruise from any port, that you give yourself at least an extra day buffer just in case there are any travel delays (no matter which way you plan to travel). If you decide to arrive a day or two ahead of time, you are going to need somewhere to stay.

Thankfully, New Orleans is filled with hundreds of hotels, especially within a mile of the cruise terminal. You won’t have any issue finding a place to stay, and it all boils down to your needs and your travel budget.

If you are driving and need to park, a hotel that provides free parking during your cruise should be at the top of your list. Parking in New Orleans is expensive, with the official port starting at about $20 per night. However, if you are flying in, something within walking distance or with a shuttle will be more your style.
