Princess Cruises Returns to the Amazon After 14 Years
Majestic Princess and Coral Princess will sail a total of 13 departures across 11 itineraries in the cruise line’s 2028-2029 South America season. Notably, this season includes the first Princess itineraries cruising the Amazon River in 14 years.
The last time the cruise line sailed the Amazon was in 2014 aboard Pacific Princess. Scenic cruising along the Amazon will now return with a port call in Santarém, Brazil on select 2028-2029 South America voyages.
A standout itinerary is a new 64-day Circle South America sailing. This voyage aboard Coral Princess will circumnavigate South America and combine Antarctica, the Amazon River, and the Panama Canal in one voyage.

Cruise Hive reported when the 3,560-guest ship made its Antarctica debut in 2026. It was then announced in March 2026 that Majestic Princess would return to Antarctica in its 2027-2028 South America season.
The announcement includes an early-booking offer running through February 16, 2027. The cruise line is offering up to $300 in instant savings, up to $300 in onboard credit, and $100 deposits.
