About Mexico shore excursions

Mexican Riviera cruises sail down the Pacific coast, usually calling at Cabo San Lucas, Puerto Vallarta and Mazatlan, while shorter sailings visit Ensenada on the Baja coast. Days ashore mix beaches, snorkeling and boat trips with old town walks, food tasting and horseback rides. At Cabo San Lucas ships anchor in the bay and bring you ashore by tender, so allow extra time getting back.

Most of these cruises start in Los Angeles, Long Beach or San Diego, and those cities have tours of their own for the day before you sail, as does Catalina Island, a common stop on short trips. Cozumel, Costa Maya and Progreso are on Mexico's Caribbean coast, so their tours are on our Caribbean shore excursions page.
