Now that Carnival Cruise Line has announced a temporary suspension of cruises through early April, where will each ship be during the shutdown?
List of Carnival Cruise Ship Temporary Dockings and Homeports
The cruise line is working hard at getting the fleet back to ports and safely ending itineraries as scheduled to disembark guests. Carnival announced last week a voluntary suspension of operations to help stop the spread of the deadly coronavirus which continues to spread around the world.
The virus which is named COVID-19 has had a huge impact on the industry and fears of infections have brought the industry to a standstill.
Carnival Cruise Line sent Cruise Hive the following list of where ships are right now including the ports they will be docked at:
Baltimore
- Carnival Pride: Arrived in Baltimore Sunday, will remain docked at Baltimore
Charleston
- Carnival Sunshine: Arrives in Charleston on Monday, will remain docked in Charleston
Fort Lauderdale
- Carnival Sunrise: Arrives in Fort Lauderdale on Monday, will remain docked in Fort Lauderdale
Freeport, Bahamas

During this time as Carnival ships come to a halt, the crew members have the option to fly back to their home countries for vacation or they can remain onboard. Those who choose to remain onboard will still get paid.
The halt to cruise operations went into effect on March 14 just as many other cruise lines. It is set to last through April 9, 2020 and only applies to the North American fleet. Cruises will begin departed on April 10, 2020.

Guests have the option to rebook their cruise vacation and Carnival is offering incentives to do so. For those on 6-days or more will receive a $100% Future Cruise Credit and $600 of onboard credit if booked by December 31, 2020 for sailing by December 31, 2022. The same goes for those on five-day cruises or less but at a reduced onboard spending credit of $300. More details of refunds and rebooking can be found here.
