Virgin Voyages, one of the newest cruise lines of recent years, has revealed the name for its next new cruise ship. The third addition to the fleet is called, rather fittingly, Resilient Lady.
Resilient Lady will be based out of Piraeus, Greece, where she is expected to be sailing from Summer 2022 onwards; she is expected to be delivered July 1, 2022. She will be the second vessel in the fleet to sail in the Mediterranean. Sister ship Valiant Lady will also sail the Mediterranean and is expected for delivery in July of this year.
A Growing Fleet Of Lady Ships
Despite the hardships that have been felt worldwide with the ongoing pandemic, Virgin Voyages has been steadily making progress with its plans to become a significant player in the cruise segment.
The company will have four ships by 2023 but still has not sailed with paying guests on board. The release of the company’s first vessel, Scarlet Lady, was scheduled a few weeks after all major cruise lines first started to cancel sailings in 2020. There was no option for Virgin Voyages but to go the same direction.

The fact that the company has chosen Resilient Lady as the name for their newest Lady seems to be a fitting one considering the circumstances. The company commented on the choice:

Resilient Lady Itineraries
From Summer 2022, the vessel will be sailing on two separate 7-day itineraries in the Mediterranean from Pireaus, Greece, Athens’ port city.
The first itinerary will be a 7-day voyage around the Greek Isles. The vessel will be making stops in Santorini, Crete, and Mykonos. The vessel will be overnighting in Mykonos, giving guests onboard the chance to savor the incredible nightlife the island has to offer.

The second itinerary will also sail from Piraeus. The cruise ship will sail at sea for one day before docking in the beautiful city of Dubrovnik in Croatia, famous for being pictured in HBO’s hit show, Game of Thrones. After a 2 AM departure from the city, the vessel will call in Kotor, Montenegro, Corfu, and Argostoli, Greece.
The company’s first vessel, the adult-only 18+ vessel Scarlet Lady, is expected to sail for the first time this year. The vessel is scheduled for launch on Sunday, July 4 of this year. The vessel will sail on a 5-day itinerary from Miami, Florida, to Cozumel, Playa del Carmen, and The Beach Club at Bimini.
