Virgin Voyages has announced a champagne delivery service from just a shake of a guest’s phone!
Scarlet Lady Will Have Champagne Delivery!
The Richard Branson cruise line has announced an exclusive onboard Champagne delivery service. The experience will be like no other in the cruise industry where guests can simple request Champagne with a shake of their phone.
Tom Mcalpin, CEO of Virgin Voyages, said:
“It is never too early for champagne and there is always something to toast to while aboard Scarlet Lady. We want our Sailors to enjoy a glamorous holiday and what better way to feel like a RockStar than a sip of bubbly whenever and wherever you want it.”
The “Shake for Champagne” service will be a feature on the Virgin Voyages Sailor App when used onboard Scarlet Lady which is the first cruise ship from the cruise line entering service in 2020.
By shaking the phone a secret Virgin Voyages button will appear and with just one press, a bottle Moet Chandon Imperial will be delivered to the guest or as in Virgin words, Sailor!
The bottle will be delivered in an eye-catching, gleaming red champagne bucket. The service also includes a 750ml bottle with two glasses.
The cruise line also revealed a new champagne lounge and caviar bar named Sip. This space will be the best space to enjoy a glass starting from $9 or a bottle of bubbly with fellow sailors. There will even be a $1,000 vintage bottle to enjoy! Guests can also enjoy afternoon tea at Sip.
Scarlet Lady is currently under construction at the Fincantieri shipyard in Genoa, Italy. The ship will be 110,000 gross tons with a passenger capacity of 2,700 at double occupancy. The ship will kick of Caribbean cruises from PortMiami in April 2020.
