Marella Cruises which is a UK-based cruise line has extended its pause on cruise operations towards the end of August 2020.
Marella Cruises Cancels More Sailings
The cruise line has made the decision to extend its suspension of cruise operations for even longer due to ongoing travel restrictions around the world. Marella Cruises has now cancelled all cruises until August 27, 2020, and for select sailings, it goes much further.
There are more specific cancellations with Marella Discovery sailings from Palma cancelled until October 31 and the Electric Sunsets cruises on Marella Explorer 2 departure on September 5, 2020.
Those guests impacted by the cancellations a refund credit along with up to an extra 10% incentive of the total value. Guests should have this credit within four weeks once an email has been received. A request can also be made for a simple refund.
To provide further confidence in bookings Marella Cruises has extended its free amendment policy. This means anyone who is due to sail on Marella Explorer or Marella Explorer 2 in September or October 2020 can now amend their booking for free before July 31.
This news comes as the cruise line previously announced that cruises would be cancelled through July 30, 2020. The largest cruise line in the UK which is P&O Cruises has already cancelled sailings until the middle of October.
