Princess Cruises has provided an update on how Hurricane Dorian has impacted the private destination of Princess Cays in the Bahamas.
Princess Cays Update
Hurricane Dorain has ripped through the north Bahamas causing widespread devastation to Abaco and Grand Bahama Islands. Also the nearby cruise line private destination of Princess Cays which is located in the south of Eleuthera island.
With the island not being in the direct course of Hurricane Dorian, there has been no major damage. The cruise line has tweeted there is only cosmetic damage and beach erosion. As Princess Cays is not a private island there are residents living there and thankfully they did not take the full force of the Hurricane.

Princess Cruises does not have any cruise ships scheduled to call at the resort in September and it was the same for August. As a whole, the cruise line has not been impacted as much compared to Carnival Cruise Line, Royal Caribbean, and Norwegian Cruise Line. Princess Cays will no doubt be ready business very soon with multiple Carnival cruise ships calling through September.

Right now Hurricane Dorian has weakened with maximum sustained winds of 105 MPH as it moves north towards the states of Georgia and South Carolina. Cruise itineraries will soon start returning to normal from some Florida cruise ports but any ships with calls to Freeport will still have altered sailings.
