Stunning Views As Queen Mary 2 Heads Into Dock 17 Inch By Inch

Yesterday Cruise Hive reported on the arrival of Queen Mary 2 to begin its much-anticipated dry dock. To see the arrival in even more detail then you’ll really appreciate the video above.

Queen Mary 2 arrived on May 27 to begin its multi million pound dry dock at the Blohm & Voss shipyard in Hamburg, Germany. The huge 150,000 gross ton vessel can be seen arriving on the river Elbe as thousands of people looked on. Assisted by several tug boats the Queen Mary 2 was taken in to dock 17 very slow with only inches spare on either side.

The major refurbishment which we’ve reported for months will last 25 days. On June 21 the Cunard ship will emerge all nice and shiny once again ready for a series of sailings out of the German port. Let us know what you think of the ship and the stunning video in the comments below.
