Princess Cruises is to roll out its advanced OceanMedallion experience to six more cruise ships in 2020 including vessels in Australia and New Zealand along with the first world cruise.

OceanMedallion Coming to More Cruise Ships

The Carnival-owned cruise line will continue to roll out its innovative OceanMedallion vacation experience in 2020. An additional six cruise ships will receive the technology enhancements in 2020 including for the first time in Australia, New Zealand and a world cruise.

So far OceanMedallion is only on three cruise ships including Caribbean Princess, Regal Princess, and Royal Princess. In 2019 the Crown Princess will receive the enhancement starting from July 24 and the currently under construction Sky Princess from October 12 once in service.

Jan Swartz, Princess Cruises president, said:

“Our guests who have experienced MedallionClass on Caribbean Princess, Regal Princess and Royal Princess have enthusiastically embraced the OceanMedallion. We are thrilled with the response and working to extend Princess MedallionClass to more guests around the world.”

“Princess Cruises is passionately committed to giving all our guests the opportunity for a more personalized and simplified vacation experience.”

In total, eight Princess cruise ships will begin using the new guest experience, six of those ships in 2020 which we list below:

  • Ruby Princess (January 27)
  • Grand Princess (March 29)
  • Enchanted Princess (June 15)
  • Emerald Princess (August 16)
  • Coral Princess (October 16)
  • Island Princess (December 20)

The OceanMedallion technology has proved to be a huge hit on the ships it is currently on. Included in the experience is a complimentary wearable device which provides a much easier and hassle-free cruise vacation.

Also as part of the experience is a streamlined and expedited check-in process, on-demand delivery services onboard, ship information and guest interaction using technology. And as expected, there are no keys needed to open a stateroom!

We’ll keep readers updated when more Princess cruise ships are set to revied OceanMedallion.
