A new video has been doing the rounds online thanks to the Facebook page Humans At Sea. The footage above shows the pilot attempting to board the unknown vessel. As he tries to grab hold of the ladder he looses balance and grip then falls into the water between the large ship and the pilot-boat.
Another crew member on the pilot boat can be seen notifying the captain and then attempting to prepare and throw a life ring. The man can be seen drifting away from the boat alongside the ship in bad weather conditions. The video suddenly stops once it reaches this moment. No details about the video have been posted so we don’t know which ship this is or where.
We’re posting this video as Pilots always meet the cruise ship before they enter port so the ship can arrive and dock nice and smoothly. The pilots know the local waters best and are an essential part of cruise ship and regular ship arrival and departures.
