PREVIOUSLY:

Extremely shocking footage has emerged of a boy climbing the side of the Carnival Liberty cruise ship. Before we get into the details we must state that this behavior should never be done onboard a cruise ship, it’s extremely dangerous and utterly irresponsible.

The video has been posted by local news in Houston which shows a boy climb over the side railings of the Carnival Liberty ship and then holds onto a metal barrier just under the railings. There was even a stage where the boy’s legs dropped and dangled with only the ocean beneath him. Another young boy can be heard laughing and joking. This seems to have occurred on deck 3 which is where the main atrium bar and guest services desk is located.

Watch Footage Below:

At the time the ship was at sea and the weather conditions didn’t look to be perfect. This could have been tragic and the boy is extremely lucky to not slip and fall from the ship. This apparently occurred on November 19 when the Carnival Liberty was just starting a week-long Western Caribbean cruise from Galveston, Texas

Carnival Liberty is a 110,300 gross ton vessel which can carry over 2,900 guests at double occupancy. The ship has been in the news several times recently for having some propulsion issues. A major dry dock operation is upcoming on the ship before it swaps homeports with the Carnival Valor out of Port Canaveral with cruises starting on December 15.

Cruise Hive has reached out to Carnival Cruise Line and will update this post once we get a response.
