Knut Kloster, a legend in the cruise industry and who co-founded Norwegian Cruise Line has sadly died at the age of 91.

The Carnival Corporation today announced that a second Vista class cruise ship has been ordered for Carnival Cruise Lines.

The new ship will be identical to the cruise lines Carnival Vista which is still being constructed at the Fincantieri shipyard in Italy. The unnamed vessel will be able to carry 3,954 passengers along with bringing the fleets current features. We can also expect the new ship to offer some new innovations too.

The new ship will be built by March 2018 and Carnival will be releasing more details about the ship in the future. Carnival Corporation also ordered another new vessel for Holland America Line and you can find out about all the details right here.

Carnival Vista which will be the first in this new class for the cruise line is the largest built yet for the Miami based company. The upcoming cruise ship is set to be built by March 2016 at 133,500 gross tonnage. Carnival plans to announce details on the many unique features and innovations of Carnival Vista during a three-day event for media, travel agents and consumers in New York Jan. 22-24, 2015.

The Carnival Corporation is still bringing new vessel to the cruise market with another 10 ships to enter service between 2015 and 2018.
