Royal Caribbean Teases Harmony of the Seas

Royal Caribbean has released a new sneak peek video of Harmony of the Seas. The third oasis class will become the world’s largest cruise ship once it enters service in 2016.

Royal Caribbean has been teasing us with construction images and videos over the past year and now that all the ships blocks are together it won’t be long until passengers can enjoy it. The 227,000 gross ton vessel which is slightly larger than Oasis of the Seas and Allure of the Seas is being built at the STX shipyard in St. Nazaire, France.

The video showcases some brief explanations from essential Royal Caribbean personnel and what’s to come on the new mega ship. Featured on Harmony of the Seas will be the new Splashaway Bay, an interactive aqua park for kids and new water slides known as The Perfect Storm. The three slides included in The Perfect Storm are Cyclone, Typhoon and Monsoon, they will each offer a different kind of thrill starting from the Sports open deck above the Central Park neighbourhood.

One of those most anticipated features onboard Harmony of the Seas will be The Abyss. The new slide is teased in the video but is still top-secret and no official details have yet been revealed. All we do know is the slide located at the ship’s aft above the Aqua Theater will be 10-stories high and will twist around. The Abyss will be one of the biggest thrills at sea and the cruise line is keeping the best until last.

The large cruise ship will be completed in April 2016 and will carry 5,400 passengers. After the ship’s inaugural season from Barcelona, Spain it will sail Caribbean cruises from Fort Lauderdale, Florida beginning November 2016.

Cruise Hive will keep readers updated on Harmony of the Seas and any new developments. Royal Caribbean will reveal more details about the ship the closer it gets to completion.
