ITV is reporting the rescue of the small boat by the 150,000 gross ton liner. The ship turned around during the transatlantic crossing to help the boat which was around 450 miles west from the Irish coast. According to the site a crew member spotted the boat which seemed to be in distress.

The Queen Mary 2 along with Cunard Line is currently celebrating its 175th Anniversary and has already been involved in some iconic Cunard celebrations.
