Princess Cruises has taken delivery of its fifth Royal-class cruise ship today from the Fincantieri Monfalcone shipyard in Italy.
Enchanted Princess is Delivered!
The shiny new cruise ship was delivered to Princess Cruises today at the Fincantieri shipyard in Monfalcone, Italy. A ceremony took place to mark the event via a live stream and for the cruise line to welcome its fifth Royal-class cruise ship.
The ship is the 100th built by the Italian shipbuilding company and it’s a major milestone for both as Crown Princess was the first vessel to launch Fincantieri into modern shipbuilding business when she was delivered in 1990.
Jan Swartz, president of Princess Cruises, said:
“We officially welcome Enchanted Princess into the Princess global fleet and recognize the strong bond between Carnival Corporation, Princess Cruises and Fincantieri, our long-standing shipbuilder partner.”
“Fincantieri shares the Princess spirit of delivering the highest level of excellence, and we know they will also share in our enthusiasm with pride when the ship welcomes its first guests.”ย ย ย
Enchanted Princess is in the same class as Regal Princess, Royal Princess, Majestic Princess, and Sky Princess. She offers the latest onboard tech, new dining experiences, the most pools, and whirlpool hot tubs ever, sky suites, and the largest balconies at sea. All she needs now is cruise operations to resume so guests can start enjoying the new ship’s features.
