Princess Cruises has announced it’s extending suspended operations in Australia and New Zealand through December 12, 2020.
Princess Cruises Cancels More Departures
Princess Cruises has decided to extends its pause on operations in Australia through December 12, 2020. The reason is due to the continued progression of COVID-19 and related decisions of various governments, health authorities, and airlines regarding travel restrictions.
The suspension includes cruises in Australia and New Zealand and impacts sailings on five Princess cruise ships including Majestic Princess, Regal Princess, Sapphire Princess, Sea Princess, and Sun Princess.
The cruise line is offering a refundable Future Cruise Credit (FCC) for those who have paid off their booking in full. The credit will be 100% of the cruise fare paid plus an additional non-refundable bonus FCC equal to 25%. This will automatically be applied if no option is chosen.
For guests who have not paid in full, Princess will Double the Deposit, providing a refundable FCC for the money currently on deposit plus a matching bonus FCC that can be used on any voyage throughย May 1, 2022. The matching bonus FCC is non-refundable, will not exceed the base cruise fare amount of the currently booked cruise, and will have a minimum value ofย $100ย per person.
Alternatively, guestsย canย forfeit theย bonus FCCย offerย andย requestย aย refund for all money paid on theirย bookingย byย usingย anย online form.ย Guests have untilย September 30, 2020ย toย elect a refund, or they will automatically receiveย theย defaultย offer listed above.

The cruise line has already suspended the majority of operations through December 15, 2020. As Princess is a very international operator different countries and regions will have a different return date and the situation is always changing.
