Princess Cruises Expands Book with Confidence Policy

Princess Cruises aiming to gain the confidence of cruisers even more by expanding its “Book with Confidence” program along with the “Princess Promise,” offering greater peace of mind during a cruise vacation. The cruise line is looking forward to reemerging in 2021 after a dismal 2020 and with these changes, hopes to keep bookings going.

It’s a More Worry-Free Experience from Princess

The Carnival-owned cruise line wants to make sure guests have the perfect cruise experience and is reaffirming its commitment to exception service and satisfaction for guests. if the cruise line does not meet guests expectations it will make it right that could include onboard credits, future cruise credits or refunds.

Princess is also expanding itsย Book with Confidenceย policy which now allows guests the flexibility to change their vacation plans 30 days prior to day of departure, receiving cancellation fees as a future cruise credit. This flexible booking option is available for any cruise bookings made throughย March 2, 2021, on voyages departing throughย October 31, 2021.

Deanna Austin, chief commercial officer, Princess Cruises, said:

For even greater peace of mind, the cruise line also offersย Princess Vacation Protectionย that will provide full vacation protection in the form of either a future cruise credit or a reimbursement of the normally non-refundable cancellation fees, depending on the reason for the changed plans.

This program also covers guests during their cruise, including lost or damaged luggage protection, emergency excess medical expenses, and emergency evacuation, and trip interruption coverage which provides a pro-rated refund if illness interrupts the cruise and extra costs associated with trip delays or interruptions.

At the moment, Princess Cruises has suspended operations globally through February 2021 and cruises won’t restart until March at the very earliest. The cruise line is rolling out the Ocean Medallion tech to all vessels as part of its health measures.
