Princess Cruises is expanding the amenities available to cruisers who buy the line’s add-on packages, offering a selection of fancy desserts and a series of fitness and wellness classes in what it calls an “exciting juxtaposition” of tasty indulgences and healthy activities.

The enhancements to the line’s existing Princess Plus and Princess Premier packages will deliver even more value to cruise guests, the line said.

New Offerings to Roll Out in February

Starting with bookings made after December 14, 2022, for cruises departing after Feb. 20, 2023, guests who buy either the Princess Plus or the Princess Premier packages can indulge in elaborate confections and desserts such as gelato and pastry served in the Gelateria, Swirls, and Coffee and Cones eateries.

Guests who buy the add-on packages also will be able to join a series of fitness and wellness classes offered as part of the cruise line’s exclusive partnership with Xponential Fitness, which provides Pure Barre, Yoga Six and Stretch Lab classes.

Additional wellness classes from other fitness brands, including Club Pilates, Cycle Bar, Stride, and Stride, will follow shortly thereafter, Princess said.

The president of Princess Cruises, John Padgett, said, “Adding more content to our much sought-after Princess Plus and Princess Premier packages with the addition of premium experiences including fitness and indulgences not only guarantees an exceptional onboard experience but also ensures our guests have maximum options and superior value when vacationing with Princess.”

Princess Delivers More Value in Add-on Packages

According to Princess, for $60 per person per day, the new Princess Plus will give guests almost 60 percent off a retail value of $140, versus if components are purchased separately.

With the enhanced package, Princess Plus guests will receive two premium crafted desserts and two fitness classes per day, unlimited juices, and the free shipping of Medallions prior to sail date. (Medallions are the line’s wearable devices that enable touch-free boarding, keyless stateroom entry, making dining reservations, ordering food and drinks, and other shipboard conveniences.)

The Plus package already includes the Plus Beverage Package, a single-device wi-fi plan and pre-paid crew tips. With the new amenities, Princess Premier guests can receive up to $257 per day in total amenity value for $80 per person per day, a nearly 70 percent savings versus if components are purchased separately.

Under the new add-on plan, Premier guests can indulge in unlimited desserts, smoothies and juices, and participate in unlimited fitness classes. They also will receive reserved seating in the Princess Theater and a Medallion accessory.

Existing perks for Premier guests include the Premier Beverage Package, a four-device wi-fi plan, pre-paid crew tips, two nights of specialty dining and a photo package. Princess Cruises, a Carnival Corporation cruise line, operates a fleet of 15 ships sailing to 330 global destinations each year.

Its newest ship, the 3,660-guest Discovery Princess, entered service in March 2022 and is sailing a series of North America west coast cruises from Los Angeles.
