Scores of cruise ship guests who visit Cozumel on a port call in the Western Caribbean and make their way to a popular all-inclusive resort to spend the day enjoying water sports, food and drinks will soon see double-digit increases in the cost of their day passes.
Mr. Sancho’s in Cozumel Increases Prices
Mr. Sancho’s Beach Club, a favorite all-inclusive day pass resort for more than two decades, announced it is raising admission fees for adults, teens and children, as well as entry to its aquatic park and the day rate for the club’s Romantic Cabana Package, all effective on January 1, 2023.
Adult rates will rise to $68, up from $60, which reflects a roughly 13 percent spike. Rates for teens, kids and the aquatic park will each rise about 11 percent, as follows: Day passes for teens will cost $45, up from $40; for children $40, up from $35; and for the aquatic park $14, up from $12. The club’s Romantic Cabana Package will cost $260, up from $240.
In a Facebook post revealing the new fees on November 30, the club noted that its all-inclusive day pass prices for children and teens, and for the aquatic park, have not increased since the pass was launched in 2011.
The club’s statement explains: โAfter some years, due to current circumstances we are forced to adjust our prices but doing our best to make it as low as possible. We appreciate your understanding on this price adjustment [and] thank all of our guests for their loyalty and preference.โ
The adult, teen and child all-inclusive day pass covers the following amenities at the club: all-you-can-eat from a buffet and menu; all drinks and cocktails from the pool bars, including frozen drinks, beer and non-alcoholic beverages; two pool bars; a beach reserved for all-inclusive guests; lounge chairs; use of ocean kayaks; hammocks; beach umbrellas; lockers, and restrooms.
The Romantic Cabana Packages includes all of the above amenities plus a cabana on the beach, with furniture and curtains; a 30-minute massage for two people, and a rose.
The club’s aquatic park features a slew of water adventures, such as the Climbing Iceberg, Climbing Rock, two trampolines, a pyramid slider, a moonwalk with two bouncers, a rock slider and a stadium ball.
Club Will Honor Lower Rates On Existing Bookings
According to the announcement, all guests who have already made reservations for 2023 and 2024 will pay the existing, lower rates. Those who make reservations during December 2022 for visits in 2023 also will pay the existing rates.
A visit to Mr. Sancho’s Beach Club is considered one of the best things for cruisers to do in Cozumel. The club is located about a 15-minute ride from the cruise piers and 20 minutes from downtown Cozumel.
In addition to its all-inclusive amenities, the club offers several tours and activities that visitors can book but that are not covered in the day pass. These include 30-minute horseback rides ($35), a 30-minute wave runner tour ($72), and a 12-minute parasailing flight ($65).
