Passenger Missing in Port from Carnival Cruise Ship

UPDATE – SEP 4:

According to reports, the woman has turned up safe and sound. She approached authorities at a local airport.

PREVIOUSLY:

A female passenger is missing from Carnival Splendor in St. Thomas and the local Police are on the look out for her.

According to local news in St. Thomas a woman has gone missing while in Port from the Carnival Splendor cruise ship. The passenger has been named 26-year-old Regina Gilliam and local authorities have stated that she is 5 feet 4 inches, roughly 200 pounds, black hair and brown eyes.

The Carnival cruise ship was docked at the popular Caribbean island on Thursday, August 31 as part of a 7-night Eastern Caribbean cruise. Regina apparently departed the ship in the morning when it docked and never returned back for its departure later in the afternoon.

We are posting this to get the word out there and do hope cruise ship passengers visiting St. Thomas keep an eye out for her.

Carnival Splendor is a 113,300 gross ton vessel and can carry over 3,000 guests at double occupancy. The ship is based out of Port Everglades, Florida and will begin its next scheduled cruise on September 3.
