Ovation of the Seas Shines At German Dry Dock

Ovation of the Seas, the third Quantum class ship which is now sailing for Royal Caribbean was shining on April 3. The large vessel went into dry dock at the Blohm+Voss shipyard in Hamburg.

When the 167,800 gross ton ship arrived it looked stunning, all lit up while the local tug boats were maneuvering the ship into position. The video featured below which shows Ovation of the Seas was posted by HD1080ide, they’ve put together some breathtaking video footage of new ships built-in Germany over the years.

Watch Ovation of the Seas Below:

Ovation of the Seas entered dry dock earlier in April to change one of its propellers. The reason was due to the new design not working as good during sea trials in the north sea in March. Now the vessel is providing the wow factor with a series of cruises out of Southampton, UK where it first arrived a week ago.

The 4,180 passenger ship will set sail on a 52-night Global Odyssey voyage on May 3, 2016. The ship will end up at its new home port in Tianjin, China where a huge christening ceremony will take place on June 24, 2016. The godmother will be Chinese superstar Fan Bingbing which Cruise Hive previously reported on.

She looks shiny right? What do you think? Let us know in the comment below.
