Norwegian Pearl to Sail Hip-Hop Cruise
Rock the Bells, the preeminent voice for classic and timeless Hip-Hop founded in 2018, will host its first-ever “Rock The Bells Cruise: A Hip-Hop Experience” onboard a Norwegian Cruise Line’s 93,530 gross ton Norwegian Pearl.
Sailing from November 13-17, 2023, the Hip-Hop brand will bring its annual Rock the Bells Festival to sea, elevating the guest experience by honoring and celebrating Hip-Hop’s 50th anniversary as a salute to some of the genre’s icons.
“At Rock The Bells, we believe classic and timeless Hip-Hop deserves to be served on a silver platter and we can’t wait for Hip-Hop lovers across the globe to be immersed in the culture for five days, on five stages,” said Rock The Bell’s President James Cuthbert.
“We’re excited to partner with Sixthman, who bridges the gap between artists and fans, creating unforgettable guest experiences,” Cuthbert added.
Founded by LL COOL J in his hometown, Queens, NY, Rock the Bells will partner with the industry leader in immersive music and lifestyle festivals at sea, Sixthman, to take over every corner of the ship from pool deck parties presented by world-renowned party rocker Kid Capri, DJ/Prod/MC/Host of Sirius XM Fly.
In partnership with the brand that has served over 300,000 guests on over 150 unforgettable vacations, Sixthman, Rock the Bells Cruise will be another achievement that will assist in meeting its slated 2023 goals, setting a record year in terms of the number of events and expansion into new verticals.
Leading successful events at land and sea since 2021, this partnership will mark the first time Sixthman has produced a classic Hip-Hop cruise, hosting some of Hip-Hop’s most popular MCs, DJs, and producers.
The four-day sailing will depart from Miami on November 13, with price options between $1,099 to $5,199 and incentives to book before January 18, 2023.
Norwegian Cruise Line’s third Jewel-class Norwegian Pearl features 12 passenger decks and was updated in 2017, holding 2,394 guests at double occupancy and a crew of 1,072 members.
Guest Entertainment Highlights
Kicking off the sailing, Miami’s Tick Daddy and Trina will entertain guests with a special “Welcome to Miami” performance on the ship’s pool deck on Deck 12 of the 2,394-guest Norwegian Pearl.
The all-inclusive four-night Hip-Hop experience will stop in the Bahamas at Freeport and Nassau, featuring a full lineup of dozen of performances and intimate experiences from some of Hip-Hop’s favorites, such as Tick Daddy.
“We could not be more excited to help play host to the first-ever Rock The Bells Festival at Sea,” said Sixthamn VP of Events, Marketing & Community Jeff Cuellar.
“From music to food, art, dancing, fashion, and history, this cruise will be a fully immersive experience, and I can’t think of a better way to keep the celebration of Hip-Hop’s 50th Anniversary going than Rock The Bells taking over their own ship on the ocean,” Cuellar added.
Rock the Bells Cruise 2023 will offer guests a variety of Hip-Hop themed entertainment options such as MC and DJ battles, rap karaoke, interactive graffiti, live podcasts, roller skating, and open mic nights.
The first-ever cruise will also feature movie screenings, masterclasses, art galleries, custom grillz, tattoos, basketball, and The Trill Mealz Food Court, allowing guests to truly immerse themselves in the culture of Hip-Hop.
