Norwegian Cruise Line has released a new video showcasing the recent dry dock of Norwegian Star which took place in Barcelona, Spain for almost three weeks.

Norwegian Star Dry Dock

We’ve been treated with a new dry dock video of Norwegian Star while the ship was undergoing a major upgrade. All the action happened at the shipyard in Barcelona, Spain and lasted for almost three weeks.

In the video, we get to see how over a thousand workers transformed and updated many of the public spaces. With before and after shots we can see how much better the ship now looks.

Three new venues were added including Sky High Bar, Bliss Ultra Lounge and Spice H2O. The new spaces compliment the updated venues including Atrium Café & Bar, Garden Café, and the main ship dining rooms.

A lot of work was done to the 1,174 staterooms and suites with newly added USB ports, furniture, and decor. A new VIP area was also added to the onboard Casino.

When it comes to cruise ship refurbishments many aspects of the upgrade are not always mentioned and this includes a fresh coat of paint on the hull, new carpeting, new tiling, new fixtures and improvements made to spaces like the shops and spa.
