Norwegian Cruise Line has revealed more details on their upcoming private island Harvest Caye. The private island resort located in Southern Belize will offer guests the perfect experience and will even feature the first cruise ship pier in Belize.
The port which is still under development will feature a marina, where guests can depart of all kinds of different shore tours. Along with the mariner Harvest Caye will of course have the perfect white sandy beach where guests from the cruise ships can lay back and relax. For those looking for some privacy, villas can be rented which can accommodate up to 10 people. The 11 beach villas will offer everything needed for a full day at the beach.
Take a look at official renderings of the new Harvest Caye from Norwegian Cruise Line:
Harvest Caye will feature a tranquil lush pool at 15,000 square feet. The foot pool will be the first choice where passengers can cool off in the hot tropical sun. The pool is being designed with plenty of creativity and will become a nice relaxing area to chill out.
For those guests wanting more of a thrill then fear not, Harvest Caye will have a 130 foot tall flighthouse which will feature a 3,000 feet length zip line, suspension bridges, ropes course, free fall jumps, a tandem style zip line along with breathtaking views of the Belize mainland.
Andy Stuart, president and chief operating officer for Norwegian Cruise Line said:
“Belize is one of the most ecologically and culturally rich gems in the Caribbean, and Harvest Caye will be the perfect destination for guests to experience all that the country has to offer in authentic, unique ways.”
“There is so much to do on the island from the spectacular seven acre beach and watersports to interactive wildlife programs. Beyond Harvest Caye, we will strongly encourage our guests to explore Belize through the spectacular eco-adventure and cultural tours this incredible destination has to offer visitors.”
As expected NCL’s private island will have a ton of shopping and dining venues. Dining venues will be located at key areas and the shops will be located at the shopping village which will also include items from local Belizean craftsmen.
Harvest Caye will begin welcoming guests from November 2016 on NCL ships sailing Western Caribbean itineraries. Ships from other NCL brands will also be calling at the new destination.
