Norwegian Cruise Line has extended the dry dock for one of its ships which in turn has forced a revised itinerary.
Norwegian Spirit Dry Dock Extended
The cruise line has informed guests and travel agents the dry dock for the Norwegian Spirit cruise ship is being extended beyond the 40-days. The reason is due to extended labor strikes in France over the past two weeks and NCL making sure the ship will be in perfect condition by the time the first voyage begins.
Instead of departing Civitavecchia on February 11 the renovated cruise ship will be departing on February 14, 2020, with a revised schedule of ports. The vessel will still arrive in Dubai as normal to end the voyage on March 2. Here is the new itinerary:

To make up for the changed itinerary and later departure Norwegian Cruise Line will offer a 25% refund and a future cruise credit of 25% to those guests who will still go ahead with their cruise. Guest can also cancel their cruise by February 13 and receive a full refund. Up to $300 per person will be covered for any flight changes needed. There are no details for any future cruise credit for those that wish to cancel their vacation with NCL.
As usually when it comes to changed itineraries or canceled cruises, ports fees and pre-booked shore excursions through the cruise line will be refunded.
