Celebrity Cruises has rolled out a new service fee for its late night stateroom room service.

Cruise Critic is reporting that the cruise line has added a $3.95 service charge for the overnight room service. The fee is applied on any orders between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m. Room service fees seem to be the trend with cruise lines now rolling out new charges. The new details can be viewed on the Celebrity Cruises site. Room service will be complimentary as usual out of the overnight hours apart from any extra special orders.

In May Norwegian Cruise Line rolled out a new room service charge of $7.95 as part of an enhanced stateroom menu. Carnival Cruise Line also tested a new room service menu in April. The enhanced menu added some more options for guests but at a small fee.

Cruise Hive has contacted Celebrity Cruises about the new service charge and will update this post once we get a response.
