Virgin Voyages has announced the new Scarlet Lady cruise ship will visit two UK destinations before heading towards her new homeports in Miami, Florida.

Scarlet Lady to Visit UK

The first-ever cruise ship from Virgin Voyages will visit two UK ports before heading to its new homeport in Miami, Florida. Scarlet Lady will sail to Dover and Liverpool in the UK in late February 2020 after the ship has been delivered to the cruise line.

However, the special tour of the UK will only be available for travel agent advisers which Virgin refers to as first mates along with VIP guests and those from the media. Everyone else will just have to wait until the much anticipated new cruise ship begins sailing Caribbean cruises from PortMiami in April 2020.

Virgin Voyages revealed the UK visits during a special event held in London on May 21, 2019. During the event, the cruise line also revealed some new details.

An expanded partnership was detailed with Academy, Grammy and Golden Globe-winning artist and producer Mark Ronson. The well-known DJ will be collaborating with the cruise line to bring epic experiences onboard. He will be heavily involved in music aspects of the ship and will be known as Minister of Music! Ronson will also perform at Virgin’s private resort in Bimini, Bahamas with a total of four shows at the Beach Club in 2020.

Tom McAlpin, president and CEO for Virgin Voyages, said:

“We see music as an essential element to a holiday, not just for parties but also as the soundtrack to laughter, relaxation and much more.”

“It’s an honour to have an outstanding artist like Mark Ronson helping us develop our Sailor experience, alongside an exciting lineup of DJ’s joining our On Deck residency program.”

Virgin Voyages Scarlet Night will become a night to remember onboard for its signature party. Guests will be taken on a journey around the ship with groundbreaking entertainment with well-produced shows. Performances and art installations will be set around the ship along with an after-party created by Brooklyn, New York’s House of Yes.
