It's looking like Spanish-based Pullmantur Cruises that is partly owned by Royal Caribbean might be brought back to business.

Carnival Cruise Line has released new photos of Carnival Horizon during recent sea trials before it arrives in Spring 2018.

Carnival Horizon has now completed sea trials and the cruise line posted some stunning photos during the final major construction milestone. The sea trials took place in the Adriatic sea from the Fincantieri Marghera shipyard in Italy.

During the sea trials, many engineers and technicians were onboard to make sure Carnival Horizon is seaworthy. All the technical and navigational systems were tested which also includes the maneuverability and propulsion while at sea. Carnival Cruise Line will be pleased to know the new ship is now on track for delivery.

Carnival Horizon is now back at the shipyard where workers and contractors are working hard getting all the final touches complete. The fitting out phase is well underway which includes all the interior spaces including staterooms, bars, dining venues and a lot more.

Usually, a month before the ship sails its maiden voyage the first crew members will start to arrive so they can set up their departments ready for guests. In this case, the crew will be all set and ready to roll for Carnival Horizon’s maiden voyage from Barcelona, Spain on April 2, 2018.

More About Carnival Horizon

Carnival Horizon will become the new flagship in the fleet and will be the sister ship to Carnival Vista which entered service in 2016. Just like Vista, the ship will feature an award-winning SkyRide on the top open deck, an IMAX Theater and Havana inspired bar and cabins along with even more features. It is also important to note that some fleet first venues are being introduced on Carnival Horizon including the fleets first Teppanyaki restaurant and Guy Fieri dedicated BBQ venue.

The ships first sailing will be a 13-day Mediterranean voyage from Barcelona, Spain. There will be a total of four round trips from the popular European cruise port. The new Vista-Class Carnival cruise ship will then depart on its transatlantic 14-day sailing on May 9. The vessel will arrive in New York, United States for the very first on May 23, 2018. From the Big Apple, Carnival Horizon will offer cruises to 4-day Bermuda and 8-day Caribbean itineraries during the Summer season.

From September 22 the Carnival Horizon cruise ship will begin its much anticipated year-round service out of Miami, Florida. The Carnival ship will sail 8-day Caribbean cruises but before the vessel will sail a special 2-day voyage from PortMiami to Nassau, Bahamas on September 20, 2018.
