A new Heroes Tribute Bar has debuted on the new Carnival Panorama cruise ship which has just been christened in Long Beach, California.
New Bar Opens on Carnival Panorama
The new Carnival Panorama cruise ship which has just been christened in Long Beach, California has debuted a fleet first “Heroes Tribute Bar” which honors military personnel. The new venue opened up just like many others to kick off the ship’s first voyage which departed the port on December 11.
The Carnival Cruise Line president opened the new bar along with military personnel and veterans during the inaugural cruise. A portion of the proceeds of the bar will also be going to the cruise line’s partner Operation Homefront, a national nonprofit organization dedicated to building strong, stable and secure military families.
Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line, said:
“The Heroes Tribute Bar is a project that is very near and dear to my heart and one that everyone at Carnival is extremely proud of. We’re always looking for new ways to honor our military heroes and this new outlet is a wonderful tribute to the sacrifices of our Armed Services personnel and their families, and is a wonderful complement to our extremely popular military tributes which are held on each and every Carnival cruise.”
The bar is inspired by military service by having all American decor featuring all five army branches. Guests can enjoy the military memorabilia on the walls including messages and photos covering the three themes of Welcome Home, Thank You for Your Service and America’s Heroes.

The bar will serve specialty cocktails in a custom pint glass which can also be purchased for guests to take home. The new concept is set to be added to other ships in the fleet in the future.
The Carnival cruise ship is currently sailing her inaugural voyage from the Long Beach cruise terminal. The ship has already celebrated her naming ceremony with godmother Vanna White and will kick off a new week-long year-round service of Mexican Riviera cruises on December 14.
