Florida Senators Rick Scott and Marco Rubio have introduced a new Set Sail Safely Act to get the cruise industry moving again.

Carnival Cruise Lines has announced the new “Camp Ocean” program which will be replacing the cruise lines current “Camp Carnival” program.

Camp Ocean will be rolled out across the entire fleet starting with Carnival Freedom on May 24th 2014 once it has completed its drydock. The program will be available for kids aged 2-11 years old and will offer a lot more than the current program is offering.

As guessed from the new Camp Ocean name it will be inspired by the ocean with a blue aqua theme to welcome kids and a newly designed space. Sea creatures will be included heavily in the theme along with 200 new educational ocean inspired activities. Each age croup within Camp Ocean will have their own identity starting with “Penguins” for the 2-5 years olds, “Sting Rays” for the 6-8 year olds and “Sharks” for the 8-11 year olds. There will also be several different spaces for the different age groups to enjoy.

Carnival Vista which will be the cruise lines newest ship in 2016 will also featured a brand dedicated space for the new Camp Ocean program. The Seuss At Sea spaces will also be integrated into Camp Ocean but this will be done over time.
