Forget about the Caribbean, how about a cruise from Dubai in the United Arab Emirates including visits to India? now this sounds like my kinda cruise. MSC Cruises has announced that MSC Lirica will become the second ship in the fleet offering cruises from the UAE. The ship will sail extended itineraries which will start in November 2018.
MSC Lirica United Arab Emirates Deployment
The MSC cruise ship will begin sailing 11 and 14-night itineraries in November 2018. This will be the first time MSC Lirica has sailed from the UAE where the vessel will join MSC Splendida which will offer shorter 7-night cruises during the 2018/19 winter season. The new Liricia cruises will include two overnight stays in Dubai and calls in India. if you book shore excursions early 20% discounts can also be taken advantage of.
Gianni Onorato, CEO of MSC Cruises, said:
“This will be our seventh season in the UAE and we have seen strong demand for our quality product offering from Dubai and Abu Dhabi.”
“Our modern ships and distinctive, quality cruise experience are an appealing way for travelers to explore the rich and diverse experiences that the UAE can offer.”
“Introducing India to MSC Cruises’ winter 2018/2019 itineraries demonstrates how our significant investment plan is enabling us to expand our global footprint and establish a presence in a high-potential market, one that we expect to grow considerably over the coming years.”
MSC Lirica Sailing to India
The MSC Cruise ship will sail to India offering new experiences and options in the region. The ship will first call in Abu Dhabi and then on to Muscat before sailing across the Arabian Sea. The first port of call in India will be the thriving Mumbai along with calls in Goa and Mangalore.
Exclusive MSC Sir Bani Yas Resort
On the 11-night itineraries, the vessel will include calls in the exclusive Sir Bani Yas Resort, a stunning island which will be just for MSC guests the days the ship visits. other calls on the itinerary will include The Pearl-Qatar, Khasab, Oman and Manama, Bahrain.
Even Longer Grand Adventure Sailings
There will be two repositioning cruises so as expected they will be pretty long with the 17-night voyage getting to Dubai the kick off its new season and then the 20-night sailing heading back to Italy. The 17-night cruise will depart Venice, Italy on November 2, 2018, and end in Dubai UAE on November 19, 2018. The 20-night Grand Voyages cruise will depart Dubai, UAE on March 15, 2019, and arrive back in Venice, Italy on April 4, 2019.
MSC Lirica is currently based in Asia but will spend time out Italy starting in April. The ship will then sail its 17-night voyage to Dubai to kick off its new winter season. The ship is 65,600 gross tons and can carry over 1,900 guests at double occupancy.
