When traveling to New Orleans a day or two ahead of schedule, you can’t just pick any hotel to stay in. There are hundreds of hotels all around the city, and not just in New Orleans, but in Gretna and Metairie, too.
Not all hotels near the Port of New Orleans are going to offer specific features for cruise travelers, and it take hours searching through every single hotel to find one that does.
Fear not! We’ve done the legwork for you, and below have provided 21 hotels in and around New Orleans that have a cruise package for folks such as yourself. Some of them include parking, some include port transportation, some have both, and then there are one or two that provide something completely unique.

FAQ About Park & Cruise New Orleans Hotels
Honestly, the best location to stay in New Orleans is right in the heart of the city. This way you’ll be close to the cruise port and be able to visit as much of New Orleans as you want. If you’d rather not be right in the city, Metairie is also a great choice and only a few miles away.
Of the list above, our favorite hotel to stay in for cruises is the first one on the list, the New Orleans Riverside. It’s walking distance from the port; you get a steep discount on parking and on your room cost.
No, there is no truly free parking available in New Orleans. Even if you book a Park & Cruise package from a hotel, and the details of the package includes “free” parking, it’s still not completely free. It’s very likely that the package costs more than their standard rate, so in a way you’re still paying to park your car there.
Therefore, when it comes to finding a great hotel to stay in, we tend to prefer the ones that offer a discount on their normal parking rates, rather than hiking up the price of their cruise package.
To park at the New Orleans Cruise Port it costs between $20-$22 per day. More if you have an oversized vehicle like a bus or an RV. If you are using the Erato Street Cruise Terminal, you’ll park in the garage on top of the terminal. For the Julia Street Cruise Terminal the parking lot is just off to the side from the terminal.
