A new Margaritaville Resort is coming to The Pointe in 2019, a new development in Nassau, Bahamas near the downtown area.

Nassau, Bahamas will become even better in 2019 with the opening of a Margaritaville Resort at The Pointe, a huge $250 million, six-acre development. The resort will be located near downtown Nassau on West Bay Street.

The popular brand can already be found in other popular cruise ports including Grand Turk, Falmouth, Montego Bay, Grand Cayman, Cozumel and even on some Norwegian Cruise Line ships along with many more locations. The brand is very popular with cruise ship passengers and well known throughout the Caribbean.

John Cohlan, chief executive officer of Margaritaville, said:

“The Bahamas – one of the most beautiful places in the world – is an absolutely perfect location for a Margaritaville lifestyle destination.”

“We’re excited to combine our casual-luxe brand with the local Bahamian culture, known for its warmth and hospitality, to create a one-of-a-kind paradise to vacation, visit, live or just kick back and relax. Nassau is an ideal destination for our lifestyle brand as we continue to expand our global hospitality footprint.”

The Margaritaville Beach Resort will offer everything needed for visiting tourists including potentially many cruise ship passengers. The area will feature an open-air shopping concourse, restaurants, bars, movie theater, bowling alley and of course a stunning beach with cabanas and chaise lounges. Even though Nassau has been suffering from high crime rates thousands of cruise ship passengers still get off the ship daily. Already available in Nassau is the large resort of Atlantis and there are many shore excursions offered from the cruise lines including visits to stunning Bahama beaches, water activities and even for those who are more adventurous.
