Watch Ship Clipping Bridge:
As seen in the footage above by Katie Barlow the Viking Star can be seen sailing slowly under the bridge. It seems a mast near the ships main funnel clipped and scraped along the bridge. It’s unclear if anything important was damaged.
The Viking Star is sailing 12-day cruise from Montreal, Canada. The vessel was calling in Boston when it sailed along Cape Cod Canal and arriving at New York today where the voyage will come to an end. The ship is 47,800 gross tons and has a passenger capacity of 928.
