One of the most anticipated future cruise ships is Scarlet Lady, a ship currently under construction for Virgin Voyages. The cruise line has released a new photo showing us just how far construction has come.
Scarlet Lady Under Construction
The first ever Virgin cruise ship is coming along nicely at the Fincantieri shipyard in Genoa, Italy. It’s always nice to see how far construction has gone compared to previous photos which you can view here.
As you can see in the latest photo below, Scarlet Lady is looking more whole as the large blocks come together bit by bit. It looks like the ship will soon be one and then a new phase will begin.
Major construction milestone still to come is the ship floating out onto the water for the very first time, sea trials and then fitting out all the interior spaces. Still a while to go but she will be completed in 2020.
There’s a lot of excitement building around the first Virgin cruise ship as the Fort Lauderdale based cruise line want to change the industry by doing things differently. We already know she will be for adults-only and there will be great experiences to keep fit while onboard.
Scarlet Lady will be based out of Miami, Florida and sail Caribbean cruises. The ship will be a total of 110,00 gross have a guest capacity of 2,700 along with 1,150 crew members.
