Another ship which is operated by Carnival Cruise Line is going through a major multi-million dollar dry dock and we’re here to show you the latest.

Carnival Breeze, one of the larger ships in the fleet is receiving a lot of attention at the shipyard in Freeport, Bahamas. The vessel began its refurbishment on April 16 and by April 29 the Carnival Breeze will be sparkling and ready for service. We’ve received some of the latest views during the ship’s upgrade which show outside and some of the interior spaces being renovated.

During the dry dock, Carnival Breeze will be getting a new Alchemy Bar which is replacing Plaza Bar at Ocean Plaza. Fat Jimmy’s Seaside BBQ will also be replaced with Guy’s Pig & Anchor Bar-B-Que. As usual, all aspects of the ship will be improved including new carpeting, wall coverings, tile work, and lighting. Many public spaces will have some cosmetic changes to make the guest experience the best it can be.

Once the dry dock is complete the Carnival Breeze will continue its service out of Galveston, Texas on April 30. The first cruise back will be a week-long Western Caribbean itinerary including calls in Cozumel, Belize City and Mahogany Bay on Roatan Island. The ship is 130,000 gross tons and can carry 3,690 guests at double occupancy. We’ll be able to see the final new spaces once the ship is back sailing.

Carnival Breeze is now the fifth Carnival ship to undergo a refurbishment in 2017 so far. Another two ships are scheduled to be upgraded this year with the Carnival Elation in August and Carnival Conquest in September.
