A new construction photo of the upcoming Carnival Horizon has been posted online by Carnival Cruise Line Embassador John Heald.
In the latest photo which can be seen below – the Carnival Horizon’s blocks are nicely coming together but as you can tell there is still a long way to go. The ship will be the sister ship to Carnival Vista and an identical design. Carnival Horizon is currently under construction at the Fincantieri shipyard in Marghera, Italy and is scheduled to be completed in March 2018.
There’s still many major construction milestones to come including the float out, fitting out phase and finally sea trial towards the end. Once completed Carnival Horizon will be 133,500 gross tons and will carry 3,936 passengers at double occupancy. The vessel will have features similar to Carnival Vista including SkyRide and an IMAX Theater. We can expect also expect guests will experience something new not seen on other ships in the fleet.
Carnival is yet to announce the ships itinerary details so keep an eye out for any new updates.
