Royal Caribbean has announced that Jewel of the Seas will receive a major multi-million refurbishment before its mediterranean deployment.
The cost of Jewel of the Seas total renovation will be $30 Million. The vessel will be upgraded from bow to stern including new staterooms, new restaurants, technology upgrades and exciting new entertainment offerings. Royal Caribbean intends to turn the Radiance class ship into the most contemporary ship ever to sail from Rome when it begins its Mediterranean season in 2016.

The 90,090 gross ton ship will receive a two-bedroom family suite and 24 new outside and balcony accommodations to offer even more choice to passengers. There will be a new large movie screen on the open deck just like what many new ships already have. Giovanni’s Table, Vintages and Izumi will join the diverse menu of dining options along with a ton of enhanced spaces across the entire ship.
Jewel of the Seas will be ready to showcase all her new features and enhancements when the mediterranean season begins from Rome in April 2016. the ship is currently sailing Caribbean cruises from San Juan, Puerto Rico. Royal Caribbean has confirmed with Cruise Hive the refurbishment will take place from April 3 to April 24, 2016.
