Inaugural 2017 Sailings Revealed For Majestic Princess

Princess Cruises has revealed the 2017 inaugural sailings of the line’s newest ship Majestic Princess. The season features six ships sailing to 119 destinations from the corners of the Mediterranean to the northernmost tip of Europe.

The upcoming ship will offer guests a choice of 64 unique itineraries on 153 cruise departures, visiting 27 countries. Itineraries will cover all corners of Europe including the Mediterranean, British Isles, Baltic and Iceland. Many of the cruises will provide guests with an experience like no other thanks to the “More Ashore program” which offers a later departure time from the ports of call.

“Princess is known for offering the best cruise itineraries around the globe and our 2017 Europe season is sure to inspire our guests with our newest and largest ships in the Mediterranean and Northern Europe. We’re especially excited to debut Majestic Princess in the Mediterranean before she officially sails to Asia for her maiden China cruise season.”

Majestic Princess will be open for 2017 European bookings on Thursday, December 3, 2015. The ship will makes its debut from Rome, Italy on April 4, 2017 for a five-day Maiden Adriatic Sea roundtrip voyage visiting Kotor and Corfu. The 3,560-guest Majestic Princess then sails on a series of seven-, 14-, 21- and 28-day Mediterranean voyages departing Barcelona, Athens and Rome from April 9-May 14, 2017.

At the moment the 143,000 gross ton vessel is under construction at Fincantieri’s Monfalcone shipyard in Italy. Once the inaugural sailings in Europe are complete the ship will be based in China and sail to Japan and South Korea. Majestic Princess is being purpose-built for the Chinese market and will also have a Chinese name on the hull.
