Behind the Scenes Video
So how does Carnival keep guest away from bad weather and track the entire fleet? The Fleet Operations Center in Miami, Florida plays a major role in this. There is experienced personnel constantly monitoring any potential storms or Hurricanes, and advanced technology is used for tracking and communication with the shipboard officers.
In a new video, we get a good insight into what goes on behind the scenes in these situations like tracking Hurricanes.
We posted about the new state of the art operations center in May, and the 35,000 square foot modern facility includes a 74-foot-long video wall composed of 57 LED screens. From here the entire fleet can be monitored, and a fast reaction can be made accordingly.
It’s nice to know that Carnival is investing in making sure guest and crew are always kept safe and away from storms. During Hurricane season this becomes an essential way of staying on top of any situations.
