Knut Kloster, a legend in the cruise industry and who co-founded Norwegian Cruise Line has sadly died at the age of 91.

Holland America have announced a 114 day Grand Voyage around the world on the ms Amsterdam. The voyage will begin on January 5th 2015 from the well-known port of Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

The cruise will call at 45 ports in 25 countries on six continents which make this the mother of all cruises! The good thing for guests is that they will be able to choose several different sailings within the 114 day voyage from 22 to 57 day cruises.

The ms Amsterdam will begin by sailing west from Fort Lauderdale through the Panama Canal and then across the South Pacific Ocean towards New Zealand and Australia with a few Polynesian stops along the way. The Holland America ship will then head to Asia including visits to Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia and Cambodia. The ship will then continue across the globe through popular destination in Europe. Athens, Greece will be one of the last ports of call for ms Amsterdam before doing a transatlantic crossing back to Fort Lauderdale.
