Canada Bans Cruise Ships Through February 2021

The authorities in Canada have decided to extend its ban on cruise ships through February 2021 due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation.

Holland America Line will increase gratuities across the fleet starting from December 1, 2015.

At the moment┬áthe gratuities for interior, ocean view and verandah staterooms are at $11.50 but from December 1 it will be increased to $12.50. Gratuities are the default amount which is automatically charged to guest’s onboard account which can be changed anytime during the cruise.┬áThose guests cruising in suites will have their gratuities increased from $12.00 to $13.50.

Passengers already booked for a voyage from December 1 will be included in the new gratuities increase. Holland America are following Norwegian Cruise Line and Celebrity Cruises, both have already increased onboard gratuities.
