Holland America Line has expanded its browser-based navigator tool into a new free cruise app across the entire fleet offering a new guest experience.
Free Holland America App Launched
The Carnival-owned cruise line is taking its popular Navigator browser-based tool and turning it into a full-fledged cruise app across the fleet. The free app will be free for mobile devices used onboard during the voyage.
Having a cruise line app is an essential part of the cruise experience which most major cruise lines now have. the Navigator App from Holland America Line will enhance the experience for guest with new expanded features.
Orlando Ashford, Holland America Line’s president, said:
“The Navigator app makes it easy for our guests to personalize their cruise experience from anywhere on the ship — whether they want to make a reservation at a specialty restaurant, see what the evening entertainment is or create a daily schedule with reminder notifications.”
“The most exciting function of Navigator is that it allows our guests to chat with each other for free, which makes it easy to stay connected and make plans with fellow travelers throughout the cruise.”
The app offers many features including plan daily activities, explore and book shore excursions, view restaurant menus along with dining reservations, view spa treatments and check the onboard money account. A new featured added is the ability to chat with fellow passengers while onboard during the cruise.
The Holland America App pushes for functionality with guests being able to select and personalize their daily schedule. Alerts and notifications can also be set up to remind guest of anything important.
Holland America Line plans on expanding the Navigator app even further in the coming months with pre-voyage access to offer the services available onboard a specific cruise ship and an interactive fleet map. At the moment the current features can only be used while onboard.
Guests can download the Navigator app from iTunes and Google Play. It can also be downloaded while on the cruise ship for free without using any internet minutes.
