Guests Allowed to Disembark Cruise Ship As Quarantine Ends

Passengers aboard the World Dream cruise ship have been given the all-clear and disembark the vessel in Hong Kong.

World Dream Cruise Ship Quarantine Ends

Some good news at last for the World Dream cruise ship which is operated by Dream Cruises. The authorities in Hong Kong gave the all-clear and guests have been allowed to disembark the vessel yesterday afternoon. You can read our previous article about the ship under quarantine right here.

The cruise line has confirmed that all tests by the Hong Kong authorities have come back negative for all 1,814 crew members. Also, all guests went through screenings successfully with no Coronavirus insight. This means the cruise ship is no longer in quarantine and yesterday afternoon guests were able to disembark in Hong Kong.

The cruise line stated:

Guests on board World Dream have been cleared to disembark the ship this afternoon and Dream Cruises will be arranging shuttle transportation and assisting international guests with complimentary hotel accommodations and the rebooking of onward travel arrangements. World Dream originally arrived into Kai Tak Cruise Terminal in Hong Kong on the morning of Wednesday, 5 February.

Dream Cruises apologizes for the delay in disembarkation from World Dream and would like to thank all of their guests and crew for their patience and understanding during this time.

Dream Cruises would also like to extend their appreciation to the government of Hong Kong for their dedication to safeguarding the health and welfare of our passengers and the people of Hong Kong and would also like to thank all of the officers and crew of World Dream for the hard work, professionalism and care they have provided during this extremely challenging time.

The cruise line is to support guests with travel arrangments and for international passengers, Dream Cruises is providing complimentary hotel arrangements and onward travel bookings.

World Dream first arrived at the Kai Tak cruise terminal in Hong Kong on February 5 and ever since has been under quarantine. The fear of Coronvirus first on the ship occurred when guests on the previous sailing become infected after disembarking. As a precaution, authorities put the vessel under quarantine while tests were done and the ship was sanitized.

The deadly Coronavirus which first started spreading from Wuhan in the Chinese province of Hubei has currently infected more than 40,000 people around the world and killed 910.
