Carnival Cruise Line’s $1M Slot Tournament onboard Mardi Gras concluded this week with a very lucky moment for one guest onboard. Carnival’s largest casino tournament to date concluded with an awards ceremony where the tournament winner was awarded the top prize of $500,000.
Besides the top prize, there were big prizes to be won all around, including a $150,000 second prize and a $50,000 third prize. Two more $1M Slot Tournaments will be held in the coming two years, one onboard the Carnival Celebration and one onboard the Carnival Jubilee.
$1M Slot Tournament Ends Successfully for 100 Prize Winners
Carnival Cruise Line concluded its first-ever $1M slot tournament onboard Mardi Gras with an award ceremony where 100 prizes were given to winners in the competition. One guest took home the massive $500,000 top prize on Thursday, November 10.
More than 1,600 of the 5,460 guests onboard participated in the tournament, making it the largest tournament to date onboard a Carnival cruise ship. Besides the $500,000 prize for first place, the second-place winner took home $150,000, and the third-place winner took home a respectable $50,000.
“It’s fitting that the biggest casino event in our company’s history coincides with our 50th birthday. Seeing firsthand the enthusiasm for the $1M Slot Tournament from our guests, I’m looking forward to us building on this with similar events,” said Jonathan Lask, Carnival’s vice president of casino and performance marketing.
The casino tournament onboard Mardi Gras was held to celebrate the cruise line’s 50th anniversary year during a seven-night Eastern Caribbean itinerary, departing Port Canaveral on November 5, 2022, and visiting Nassau, Amber Cove, and Grand Turk.
In attendance was Carnival’s exclusive casino gaming influencer Brian Christopher Slots. The latter joined Mardi Gras guests in the casino while also making some videos showcasing the gameplay onboard the Carnival cruise ships. BC Slots will also sail cruises and play in casinos on Carnival Breeze, Carnival Magic, and Carnival Dream in the coming months.
The $1M Slot Tournament onboard Mardi Gras is not the only tournament of its kind onboard the Carnival cruise ships, the cruise line will hold at least two more.
Two More $1M Slot Tournaments in the Coming Years
The first-ever $1M Slot Tournament onboard Mardi Gras proved a huge success, with many guests participating. No surprise then that Carnival scheduled two more tournaments in the coming two years.
The next tournament will be onboard Mardi Gras‘ sister ship, the 180,000 gross-ton Carnival Celebration. She will sail from Miami on October 29, 2023. The tournament will return again the following year, this time on the third Carnival Cruise Line excel-class cruise ship, Carnival Jubilee.
Carnival Jubilee‘s tournament cruise will sail from Galveston, Texas, on May 18, 2024. Guests can reserve seats for forthcoming tournaments by booking the sailings with a Carnival Players Club offer or with a new open-access offer.
