Carnival-owned Costa Cruises is about to restart operations in several days then followed by another Carnival brand Aida Cruises in November.
Costa Cruises to Restart Operations
Finally, we are starting to see a hint of resuming cruises across Europe and one of the largest cruise lines so far will kick off cruises this weekend. Costa Cruises which is owned by the Carnival Corporation will resume sailings with one ship on September 6, 2020.
Aida Cruises which another cruise brand owned by Carnival and catering for the German market will start operations with two ships in November 2020.

Costa Deliziosa will begin sailing weekly cruises from Trieste, Italy starting from September 6, 2020. The Costa ship will be departing on September 6, 13, 20 and 27 including calls at Bari and Brindisi in Puglia; Corigliano-Rossanoin Calabria; and Siracusaand Catania in Sicily.
Costa Diadema will be the second ship in the fleet to kick start operations on September 19 out of Genoa, Italy. The ship will also sail weekly including calls at Civitavecchia/Rome, Naples, Palermo, Cagliari and La Spezia. it is important to note that for now, Costa is only taking Italian guests but once the travel situation improves in Europe and beyond the cruise line will start accepting international guests.
German-based Aida Cruises will begin sailings with AIDAmar from November 1, 2020. The vessel will offer 7-day voyages from the Canary Islands departing from and to Las Palmas, Gran Canaria. AIDAperla will be the second ship in the fleet to restart cruises on November 7 from Las Palmas and Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
Western Mediterranean cruises will resume wit the AIDAstella cruise ship departing on seven-day cruises from Palma, Mallorca, beginning Dec. 12. Additionally, AIDAprima will offer seven-day cruises from Dubai starting Dec. 11 and from Abu Dhabi beginning Dec. 15.
Aida Cruises had originally planned on restarting cruises in September but with on-going restrictions that was put back to November, more details right here.
When cruises do resume the two Carnival brands will do si at reduced capacity and new health protocols. Guests booked on these first sailings are being provided with detailed information to make sure they remain safe during the entire vacation process.

Aida Cruises and Costa Cruises are the first lines owned by Carnival to resume operations and hopefully, this will set the standard for resuming cruises with the other seven brands. MSC Cruises has already started operations since August.
