Anticipation Grows for New MSC Mega Cruise Ship

MSC Cruises is building up to MSC Grandiosa, the next new MSC mega-ship arriving this November.

MSC Grandiosa: Not Long to Go!

We’ll soon be treated with a shiny new cruise named MSC Gradiosa which will be the next new mega-ship arriving this November. This vessel which is currently under construction at the Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard in Saint Nazaire, France.

The ship will be the first Meraviglia Plus-class and will be the largest in the fleet. However, this record will be overtaken with even larger MSC cruise ships already on order and entering service in the coming years. MSC Grandiosa will be an impressive 177,100 gross tons and have a passenger capacity of 5,981 across 2,444 cabins. She will look very similar to the current Meraviglia-class but an evolution of the design.

There will be many popular features already feature on some of MSC ships along with new expanded spaces and experiences not seen before. Favorites will be the Meditteranean inspired Promenade with a huge 98.5-meter-long LED sky, international dining venues and the virtual assistant at sea called ZOE which was first introduced on MSC Bellissima earlier in 2019.

The new expansive shopping experience will be introduced to the new ship at the promenade, A new French-inspired L’Atelier Bistrot restaurant will be featured and two brand new fleet-first shows from Cirque du Soleil at Sea.

There is plenty to look forward to with MSC Grandiosa before her first voyage departing Hamburg, Germany on November 10, 2019. The ship’s grand Christening will also take place at the German port the day before on November 9. MSC Grandiosa will be based in the Western Mediterranean during her inaugural season.
